Prayer | Why Bother to Pray

If you need a breakthrough in your finances, you need to break through in prayer. If you need a breakthrough in your spiritual life, your job, your marriage or with your children, you need to break through in prayer. If you need a breakthrough in any area of your life, you must break through in the area of prayer.

Our decision to pray or not to pray can literally shape history. God has chosen to influence the affairs of the earth through us. John Wesley once said, “God does nothing on the earth save in answer to believing prayer.” God has never given up ownership of the earth. He has just assigned you the responsibility to govern it. He calls on you to act that responsibility out through your faith and prayers.

So, why should you bother to pray? Because God has called you to, so His power and plans can be released on earth. He wants to have communion, intimacy and constant conversation with you. Choose to respond to God’s mandate to pray, and watch His kingdom come and His will be done. Start praying today!
