Time Well Spent

DAY 21 OF 21

Peace. The word alone makes us yearn for a sense of calm that our busy lives need. With crowded schedules full of expectations, work, and family, we find ourselves tossed about as if we’re in the middle of a storm. Our stress and anxiety build up until we can’t take it anymore. But when we choose to spend time with God and bring our worries and anxious thoughts to Him, He brings peace. Nothing is too big or too small to share with Him. No situation is beyond His care. The peace He ushers in surpasses what our human minds can comprehend. It isn’t a peace that can be bought—it’s a gift freely given. Our hearts feel lighter and comforted as He whispers peace into our lives, overcoming the waves of worry with His incredible power.

As you practice the discipline of spending time with Jesus, you’ll begin to truly desire to be with Him. He starts with a simple invitation: “Come and have breakfast” (John 21:12). Change happens when we carve out time and space to hear from Jesus. It is then that we find peace in His presence.

What worries and anxieties hold you captive? Spend a few minutes today allowing God to see and replace those storms with waves of his perfect peace.

About this Plan

Time Well Spent

We all want to be intentional. We all want our lives to matter. One simple thing we can do is to change how we start our day, and the best way to start our day is to hear what Jesus has to say. When we start there, it will change how we see things and how we live our lives.
