Praying for People Around YouНамуна
Those with Hard Hearts
Have you ever struggled to share God with your neighbors, co-workers, or acquaintances? It can be an awkward encounter, especially when those around you aren’t receptive to this message. But that doesn’t mean we give up.
We never know if someone is interested in a relationship with God until we ask. But if you want to prepare for that conversation, you can start by praying for the hearts of the people around you. God can soften even the hardest of hearts.
As you begin to speak and share about the work that God has done in your life, pray for the people on the other side of the conversation. Ask God to give you the right words and to give others receptive hears.
God hears you, and you can pray that others will hear him as well...
Father, we think of those in our communities with hard hearts. You are in the business of healing and transformation. Your Word says you heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds. We pray for your transformational power to break down the walls these wounds have placed in their lives. Lord, heal their hearts and bind their wounds, drawing them to yourself. Give them a new heart and a new spirit. Remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. May all the glory and honor be yours. Amen!
