Book of Isaiah Намуна
ACKNOWLEDGMENT BY ACTION
God is not only a loving God, but He is also a Holy God, so we must live in holiness. 1 Peter 1:16 NIV says, "For it is written: 'Be holy, because I am holy'". So holiness is God’s character and should be our character as His children.
Learning from Isaiah 8:13, how do we acknowledge God as the Holy God? The answer is, in every aspect of our lives we must take personal responsibility to keep our thoughts, words and deeds holy. Remember that we can live holy. We can live like someone who has been saved and received salvation, not by our own strength, but by God’s power in our lives.
By keeping our thoughts, words, and actions holy, with God's help, we actually acknowledge Him as the Holy God. Respecting God's holiness means acknowledging His grace. People who have respect will certainly pay attention and maintain their behavior, thoughts and words.
Respect is embodied in a God-fearing life that truly knows God. We know His character, through the intimate relationship which is built everyday with Him. Today, let us learn to acknowledge Him as a Holy God by keeping our attitude, our words and our mind holy by His help.
We are His image and His picture, so His holiness that should be emanated through our lives.
