DAY 8 OF 11

FRIENDLY COUNSEL WITH THE WELLSPRING OF WISDOM

Everyone of us needs wisdom. Wisdom is not the same as knowledge and knowledge is not wisdom. If knowledge is like a ship, then wisdom is its compass. Wisdom is direction and purpose. Archimedes's principle was discovered when he submerged himself in a pool and his body floated. This is called knowledge. The Wright brothers knew how to use Archimedes's principle to make airplanes float in the air and that was wisdom. Many smart people do not have wisdom and ultimately they use their intelligence wrongly. Wisdom will guide every one of us to reach the goal and the plan that God has prepared in each of us.

Wisdom determines where to go and how to use what we have (talents, intelligence, blessings) in this life. Although a person is not smart in the eyes of the world, when he has wisdom he will succeed in life. Only with God’s wisdom will he reach the purpose, the plan, and the destination prepared by God.

We can gain wisdom and become wise as we associate with the source of wisdom, Jesus Himself. Through the Holy Spirit, we can understand His voice and be guided to become a wiser person, to reach His purpose and plan.

There are many successful people in this world, but not necessarily wise ones.
