Walking Through Miscarriage With God

DAY 7 OF 7

"Blame"

I do not know where you are at in your walk with God, but I pray that your miscarriage will not drive you away from God but rather, draw you closer to Him. If you will pursue Him, you will learn to trust Him and rely on His strength to get through this terrible loss.

After a miscarriage, it is so easy to blame yourself or even blame God for taking your baby and then go the rest of your life holding onto these feelings deep inside. Most of us will never really know 'why' our baby was taken away from us so we have to choose to trust God and rely on His strength in order to heal and continue on in life. Blaming yourself or God will not bring the healing you need. If you are struggling right now, reach out for help. Do not allow Satan to fill your head with lies about yourself. You are cherished. You are so very loved by God and He desires a close relationship with you! Yes, YOU!

God is so good, especially in the hard times. He alone brought me indescribable comfort and peace during my darkest days. At first, all I wanted to do was sit in my dark bedroom and be all alone so I could ball my eyes out. If this is where you are finding yourself, I promise, it will get easier. The pain will lessen each and every day. It was 2 weeks before I was able to go a day without crying. There is not a single day that I do not think about all of our lost babies. But, every time I think about them, I have trained myself to thank God for getting me through those hard days.

I had to pursue God daily in my Bible and discover for myself why I could trust Him and His plans. My relationship with God grew exponentially after every single miscarriage because I would pour my heart out to him and just ‘be’ with Him during my heartache and ugly cries. I encourage you to pursue God, even if you do not feel like doing it. Stop the negative thought cycle. Train yourself to thank God for all the blessings in your life instead of only dwelling on the hard situations in your life. I keep a separate journal by my bed that I write all the things I am grateful for in it. When I am having a hard day, I am able to look at all the blessings in my life and be reminded how truly great my God is.
