Living in the New

DAY 3 OF 6

Creation - Why Evil?

During my time at Rhema in Singapore, I had the privilege to see Ravi Zacharias live for one of his Q/A sessions. Someone from the crowd asked him, “If God knew that the world was so bad and chaotic, why did he even create man and tell him that He loves him?”

To which Ravi Zachariahs asked, “Is the Earth a bad Place?”

“Sure” answered the person in the crowd. Dr Zachariahs replied, “Then why bring babies into the earth when we know that they might at some point face injustice, hardships and the cruelty of this world?”

Children are a result of love and they are a picture of our relationship with God. You are created out of the love of God.

We humans will do anything to save our child; you would give your life for your child. The cost of saving them is overshadowed by your love for them. You don’t care what it costs. As long as you love your child you just want to keep them safe. It’s just the same with God and us.

When God created us, He didn’t intend for us to face evil. He didn’t intend for us to face injustice, cruelty, dishonour, shame, blame, and death. On the contrary, you are created to have dominion over creation, rule it and to quite literally be princes and princesses. Everything was beautiful. God would never have said “It is Good” when things were bad.

God had a whole different plan. You were to be the pinnacle of creation bearing the image of God Himself. We could think and reason unlike any other creature in this world. We could even create, just like God! Wow, how beautiful must the design of our actual destiny be! How great would we have been if we remained in that Garden of Eden! How amazing if we never stepped out!

But we did! We messed up! Everything was ruined. Gods-Great-Grand plan wasted away. When we were to be the people of the image of God, we had become the bearers of death, running our lives only to die. All because of our rebellion to God's one Command. We all fell.

God never wanted us to fall; we did it by ourselves...we made a choice. God never wanted death for us–we brought it upon ourselves.

Now what? What happens next? Exactly the same thing when your child messes up: God comes to RESCUE His BELOVED CHILD, and He does not care what it costs.

There’s HOPE my friend! and this Hope NEVER FAILS!

About this Plan

Living in the New

Until we go to our eternal destiny, we live our lives here on this earth, the other side of heaven. In this Bible plan, Sarat Yellasiri describes the power that Christ has left with us to live this life to the fullest. But unfortunately, we aren't aware of how to do this. Embark on a journey to see a fuller picture to greatly understand the things of God.
