Philippians: True and Lasting JoyНамуна
Joy in Giving
God gives us friends who build, encourage, support and even meet our physical needs. God meets our needs through His people. Are you someone God can count on to bless others and meet their emotional, spiritual and physical needs?
You can become a person God uses when you live a life of contentment. Contentment is not a result of having plenty and every personal need met. Contentment results in knowing that God is sufficient. Whether we are wealthy and prospering or poor and suffering, our sufficiency is in Christ. When you are content where God has placed you, content in what God has given you, content in your identity in Christ, then you become an instrument of God’s grace to others. When I am not content, then I become a person who is self-absorbed and self-centred. Such a person can never expect to be used by God.
The gospel not only makes you a person who extends grace to others by being a blessing but also someone who is humble to receive grace from others. The gospel turns us into people who are honest about our weakness and brokenness and rids us of shame and guilt. This frees us to be in relationships where there is grace given and grace received.
God meets all our needs according to His riches in the gospel of grace extended through the people of God.
