Hearers And Doers
“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” (James 1:22 KJV)
Be doers of the Word. While it is important to hear, understand, and comprehend God’s Word—it is also critical to execute and obey His Word. Hear, honor, and obey His Word.
Hearing is fundamental. Execution is critical. Choose to listen to what God has to say. Choose to believe what God declares. Choose to do what God declares in His Word. Carry out His Word in every area of your life.
James 2:17 (KJV) declares, “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” Apply your works to your faith. Choose to work out and live out the Word of God daily. Execute upon the principles and precepts found in His Word. Stay focused and obey His voice consistently.
Obey God’s command and He will carry you through the valley. Obedience will lead you through the storm. Diligently execute upon His Word in every season of life.
“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth.” (Deuteronomy 28:1 KJV)
Stay focused on His Word and ignore the noise of the enemy. Ignore the noise of the world and focus on Christ. Ignore the waves and winds of life and choose to focus on God. In moments of turmoil, in moments of chaos, choose to remember what God has declared.
Matthew 14:28–31 (KJV) declares, “And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?”
Don’t doubt. Focus on God. Walk on the water with Christ. Go and do what God has commanded you to do. It’s time to do the impossible. It’s time to execute. Choose to walk with Christ—He is with you. “For with God nothing shall be impossible” (Luke 1:37 KJV).
