Save the DateНамуна
When it comes to our faith, it can be easy to think that what matters most is what we believe. In other words, do we think the right way about all the right things? But Jesus never commanded us to think the right way. He never even commanded that we do certain things, like memorize Scripture, go to church, or serve on mission trips. The one command that shows up over and over is this: to love one another. This is what matters most to Jesus.
Loving each other is something we are all commanded to do. It’s for all of us. So, what does that mean? Loving each other means we put someone else’s interests above our own. It means we ask what’s best for them. It means we fight the urge to be selfish and instead look for ways to serve. Love is what makes us want to memorize Scripture, go to church, and serve on mission trips. Love is what motivates us to act.
Who is someone in your life that is hard to love? Make an effort today to do something for them, simply because God called you to love them.
