Ministry in Deed and WordНамуна
Opportunities Everywhere
What would it look like to praise God everywhere you went? Now, this idea may conjure a strange image of a man walking around the office with his hands raised singing worship songs, but that’s not what this is saying.
What if every place and every person was an opportunity to share the good news of what Christ has done in your life? How would your life change if you had this perspective? What would it look like if you sprinkled truth throughout every conversation you had during the day?
When we read this verse from David, things like “the great assembly” and “the throngs” don’t necessarily sound familiar. The thing is, we do have those. They just look different. We have office space. We have co-workers gathered together for lunch. So, what would it look like to praise God in that situation?
We’re not going to answer that question for you today because frankly, that’s up to you. Whether you choose to minister with your words or with your action is completely dependent on what you want to do.
The point is simply that there are more places to do this than at church. In fact, every single place you go and every person you encounter is presenting you with an opportunity to praise God by living and loving in a way that draws others to Him. And if entrepreneurs are good at anything, it’s seizing opportunities.
So, what will you do with the opportunities God has placed in front of you?
Further Thought
- What is one way you can sprinkle truth into your conversations today?
- What do you think it means to “praise God” every day?
- What are some of the opportunities you know of that you have to talk about God? What are other opportunities that might not be so obvious at first?
