He Laid Down His LifeНамуна
Let Your Will Be Done.
“Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” Luke 22:42 KJV
Christ was selfless. He willingly laid His life down for you. In fact, Luke 22:42 KJV declares, “Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” Christ selflessly submitted to the Will of the Father. Christ, who was God in the flesh, conquered the flesh and submitted to the Will of God the Father.
Christ considered not His Own body and gave Himself up as a sacrifice for all. Jesus Christ laid down His life for us all. You choose. You can either submit to the things of this world or you can choose to treasure, serve and follow Christ.
1 Timothy 6:10 KJV declares, “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” 1 Timothy 6:10 NLT declares, “For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.”
According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for the phrase, “Love of money” is, ‘philargyria’ (G5365) which means, “avarice, extreme greed for wealth or material gain.” The worship of money is the root of all kinds of evil. Wealth is not evil. Accumulating wealth is not a sin. The worship of wealth is a sin.
When you worship the things and treasures of this world — they‘ll become your lord. Don’t worship wealth. Don’t worship the material things of this world — choose to worship God. Don’t allow wealth, influence and power to lord over your heart. Don’t turn your earthly possessions into gods. Surrender your heart to the True and Living God.
Mark 10:21 KJV declares, “Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.” Follow Christ. Choose to be selfless and give up your way of doing things. Surrender to the One who surrendered His Life for us. Surrender to Christ the King.
