Men-pleasers
Galatians 1:10, “Now am I trying to win the favor of men, or of God? Do I seek to please men? If I were still seeking popularity with men, I should not be a bond servant of Christ (the Messiah).”
Are you choosing to serve Christ? Pray and ask God to show you the motive of your heart. Are you looking to please people or are you choosing to serve God? Are you choosing to honor God even in the midst of adversity? Will you allow God to break the yoke of people-pleasing? Choose to surrender to Christ’s way of doing things even if it isn't popular.
Galatians 1:10 NLT declares, “Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.” Are you a slave to the opinion of other people? Or a servant of Christ? Will you decide to serve and honor Christ with all of your mind, heart, and soul? The approval of people is temporary but God’s approval is eternal.
Choose to submit to and obey the Word of God. Let His Word break the chains of pleasing people from off of your life. Let His Word break the yoke of rejection. Choose not to make people your lord. Man is temporary. God is eternal. Choose to serve the True and Faithful God.
Galatians 1:10 AMPC declares, “Now am I trying to win the favor of men, or of God? Do I seek to please men? If I were still seeking popularity with men, I should not be a bond servant of Christ (the Messiah).” There is no bondage in Christ. Let go of the worship of man. Choose to worship God. Redirect your focus. Don’t let the opinion of people weigh on your heart. Don’t let the approval of people lord over your heart. Choose to surrender to God. Let Christ Lord over every aspect of your life.
