David appointed some of the Levites to lead the worship of the LORD, the God of Israel, in front of the Covenant Box, by singing and praising him.

The procession and the celebration surrounding David’s bringing the Covenant Box to Jerusalem is described in 1 Chronicles 15:1-28.
