WONDER - Exploring the Mysteries of Encountering GodНамуна
CATHEDRA
John laid on the bed of his prison cell. His thoughts went back to what he had experienced that night. He replayed the vision in which he had seen and heard something most unusual—the wonder of the celestial world.
John recalled a white throne and One in regal majesty seated on it. There were hues of amber and emerald around the royal chair. In front were twenty-four thrones with twenty-four earthly leaders crowned with gold and dressed in brilliant white.
They sang, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!” John was overcome with the intense power of their song and fainted, slumping to the ground.
In heaven, worship and wonder occurs continually and in absolute perfection. Worship before God’s throne is just like He wants it to be, not affected by the passions and preferences of earthlings or the evil one. Worship rises genuine and pure from the affectionate hearts of saints and seraphs. This adoration flows from these celestial bodies in expressions that are exquisite and appropriate.
The sovereign seat is the center of everything: heaven and earth, time and eternity, all space and infinity, all things past, present, and future. It is on this highly esteemed chair that all things focus. All roads of earthlings and angels end at the throne of the Almighty. All songs of the celestial realm are for the One on this throne, who is perfectly illustrious and glorious. This is what brings wonder to your lives and your worship.
On the throne sits the Lord of heaven and earth—your heavenly Father, limitless in power, perfect in knowledge, and ceaseless in creativity. The worship before the throne is not about men and their musical art. All artists, dancers, musicians, singers, and leaders will fall face down before the Omnipotent Potentate, breathless with what we see and hear of Him.
The throne should always be in the middle of your worship and the central focus of your adoration. It is critical that the great Sovereign One is at the center of our lyrics, our prayers, and our sermons. God is the focal point of everything. The cathedra and the One who sits on it brings wonder and awe to our lives and our worship.
Have you ever thought about heaven and the worship we will encounter? What would you adjust to focus more on encountering the wonder of God?
Pray… Heavenly Father, show me the worship and wonder of heaven. Increase my knowledge and wonder of You. In Jesus’s name, Amen

About this Plan
Author and keynote speaker LaMar Boschman takes us on a journey to discover what it really means to encounter God. We will discover that man was originally created for the manifest presence of God. Humans are not satisfied and fulfilled until they know God up close and personal. Like fish out of water, mortals gasp for life and contentment that can only be found in God’s revealed presence.
