Beauty In The Beast: How To Suffer WellНамуна
“All ailments, known and unknown, must bow to the name of Jesus”
On my birthday I prayed the prayer point above along with five others. The day after my birthday my body started externally presenting a reaction to an 'unknown' at the time rare serious syndrome.
I do not know what caused me to include the word ‘unknown’ in that prayer point other than the Holy Spirit. I truly believe that including the word ‘unknown’ triggered the heavens.
In my hospital bed, when I was desperately trying to make sense of what was going on. I vividly pictured heaven’s armies assembling and saying “Kanayo has previously prayed about known sicknesses but this time she said, ‘all unknown ailments must bow to the Name of Jesus’...let’s go!”
As I reflect on the prayer point that I lifted up to the Lord in prayer on my birthday, I am reminded that our prayers are not just for today, they are for tomorrow. The Lord prepares us for the battle even before we are aware of the war! God will never allow the battle without assuring the victory!
Little did I know that this simple 'unimaginative' yet Holy Spirit inspired prayer point would dismantle what the enemy meant for harm, which was for my body to remain dormant to this terrible syndrome until it was too late.
Little did I know that this prayer was charging the heavens and assembling His angels to protect me from what was sent to kill me.
I implore you to realise the power of prayer. Pray at all times, in every circumstance. Pray for the things that you can see. Pray for the things that you cannot see. Bring the known and the unknown before the God who is all-knowing.
Pray for yourself:
“Lord, I bring before You the things I know, the things I think I know and the things I do not know. May everything in my life surrender to Your will and Your authority. Finally, concerning my health, all ailments, known and unknown, must bow to the name of Jesus."
