You Are Servants Of GodНамуна
Free Indeed.
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36 KJV
If you are in Christ, He has set you free from the bondage of the past. John 8:36 AMPC declares, “So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free.” When you are in Christ, it is without question that you are undoubtedly set free. “What shall we say [to all this]? Are we to remain in sin in order that God's grace (favor and mercy) may multiply and overflow? Certainly not! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer?” Romans 6:1-2 AMPC.
Choose to die to sin and the old way of doing things. Choose to nail sin and its old appetites, lusts, cravings, and desires to the cross. Romans 6:6 AMPC declares, “We know that our old (unrenewed) self was nailed to the cross with Him in order that [our] body [which is the instrument] of sin might be made ineffective and inactive for evil, that we might no longer be the slaves of sin.” Give it over to Him.
Give your struggle over to Christ. Give your sin over to Christ. Give your old ways over to Christ. Give your flesh over to Christ. You are the Servant of God. You are Christ’s reflection in the Earth. You are His Own. Your body is an instrument of His Glory. You are His instrument — let Christ use you. Choose to let Christ lead and order your steps. Psalms 119:133 KJV declares, “Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.” When Christ orders your path — sin has to flee.
When you are in Christ — sin has no dominion over your life. When you are in Christ, you are yoked to His Way of doing things. Stay yoked to His Word. Matthew 11:30 KJV declares, “For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Back in Biblical days, a yoke was a type of harness that was bound to the necks of a team of farming animals that were used to plow and till the land. Oftentimes, the farmer (or the master) would yoke together stronger animals, typically oxen, with “weaker” or “immature” oxen as an attempt to tame, guide or control the weaker oxen.
One of the signals that informed the master that it was time to release the yoke from the younger oxen, was when the weaker or non-conforming oxen began to replicate the pattern of the stronger oxen on its own. The training of the weaker oxen was complete when the weaker animal no longer needed to follow the instructions of the stronger animal. This “yoking principle” applies to spiritual matters as well.
Just as the master farmer used yokes to tame oxen, in order to plow the field, the enemy uses “yoking” tactics in the same way. Satan likes to yoke you to sin. Satan likes to keep you yoked to oppressive spirits, as a means to control you and to redirect your purpose. Jesus stated, in Matthew 11:30 KJV, “For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” God’s yoke is more powerful than any stronghold that the enemy tries to yoke to your life. God’s Way is better.
His Way is more powerful than anything that the enemy tries to yoke around your neck. Surrender to Christ and let Him break every yoke of bondage from off of your life. When you are in Christ, you have the authority to establish a new generational pattern. Be the difference. Become the pattern. Set the pattern with Christ. “And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.” Isaiah 10:27 KJV
