Marriage
Hooking up and breaking up is just practicing divorce. It's partially responsible for our current 50% rate of divorce in our day and age. This verse about Isaac and Rebekah is great - it says that Isaac took her into his tent (slept with her) and then they were married. They didn't mess around or try out other people - they knew they wanted to be together so they committed. This is something for us to consider as we move towards marriage ourselves. Especially for those of us that may be living with our significant others at this time - rather than continue to live in a way that puts extra pressure on our relationship leading up to our wedding day, why not just get legally married right now and then have the celebration later? When being obedient is more important to us than the perfect wedding day or love story, we find ourselves wanting to do whatever we can to please God.
Consider what this passage may be communicating and what God may be saying to you in the midst of it.
