Personal Fulfillment and the Cross      

One of the areas for which we have a high value is joy, fun, and pleasure. I know it doesn’t sound Christian to many, but I believe it is when done correctly. Those are things He designed us for, and in doing so He is glorified by us when we live according to design.

I discovered a long time ago if I’m not having fun, I need to reevaluate what I’m doing. That’s not to say that everything we experience in life is fun. It isn’t. But there’s always joy to be found in the journey, as joy is an expression of the Kingdom of God (see Rom. 14:17). And the Kingdom is always at hand—joy is always within reach.

Our relationship with God must bear the fruit of His nature, which is a perfect and complete delight in us as His creation. How is this evidenced in your daily life?

What areas of your day to day life need to be redeemed by God's purpose and His delight?  Which areas need to be filled with his joy?
