Us and Them     

Christians often enter certain realms of city life to bring change. That in itself is called vision, which is inspired by hope. We rightfully call that good. An example of this is when someone volunteers at the local school to bring change in their curriculum. Others will volunteer at the local hospital to pray for the sick or influence the doctors and nurses. These desires are wonderful, as we are here to bring change. But agenda-driven relationships often become controlling, and all too easily they can cross the line into manipulation. That is where good becomes evil, and we don’t even recognize how and when that happened. Driven people fall into this the most easily as they often run over people to accomplish their task. And yet those without Christ recognize it easily and instinctively war against it.
