Inconceivable Redemption: God's Presence In Miscarriage And InfertilityНамуна
A Blessing
I am writing this devotional years after my miscarriage. My journey to redemption has been slow, painful, and accented by seasons of backsliding. There have been many attempts on my part to retake control of my story. Don’t expect to be ready to surrender it all and find redemption simply because you have finished reading the final day of this plan. Remember that God is outside of time, and trust that He knows best when to write in each part of your story.
As you continue through the difficult task of working through grief, here is my prayer for you, dear friend.
I pray that God’s presence would be so tangible in your grief that you feel His arms around you.
I pray that God’s grace would pour over you as you navigate emotional instability and lose confidence in your self-sufficiency.
I pray that God’s truth would be engraved on your heart and mind as you navigate the spiritual questions you face, and that His Word would be living and active in your life.
I pray that His faithfulness would overwhelm you to the point of utter amazement and bring you to tears in awe and worship.
I pray that God’s sovereignty would drive out all fear, and that He would prove trustworthy in the darkest hours.
I pray that His redemption would flood your life in amazing ways that are intimate and personal, that allow you to hear Him whispering to your broken heart, “I am making all things new!”
I pray that the story God writes in your life would be so beautiful and bring Him so much glory that you can’t wait to share it with others.
I pray that His restoration would be so complete that you would one day be able to thank Him for your loss.
I know that my expectations for God’s work in your life are high. Right now you may be thinking that it is impossible. I once thought the same. But I can assure you that it is more than possible. Even my boldest prayers for you cannot begin to fathom the plans that He has in store! The depth of God’s redemption truly is inconceivable.
