Read To Me Daily Semester 3Намуна
1CHRONICLES 15-16:
Yesterday in 1st Chronicles we heard about the first attempt to move the Ark, more about David’s family, and his defeat of the Philistines.
PROVERBS 19a:
Here is a highlight from today’s chapter in Proverbs:
Pro. 19:14 GNT A man can inherit a house and money from his parents,
but only the Lord can give him a sensible wife.
1THESSALONIANS 4:
Paul and his companions prayed for the believers in Thessalonica, and certainly God answered. Timothy taught and encouraged the believers there, and the news that he brought back about the them encouraged Paul and his fellow workers in all their suffering.
Let’s pray.
Heavenly Father, once again we see that Paul’s love for his Thessalonian brothers and sisters was so great! May what happened between Paul, Timothy, and the church at Thessalonica encourage and strengthen us also. Paul told the church, “Such persecutions are part of God’s will for us.” It’s evident, Lord, that the Thessalonians embraced your will for them. And all over the world believers are embracing all of your will for them and standing firm even when persecuted. So Lord, please give us strength to stand firm like them. If there are gaps in what we ought to believe, we pray that you would send us teachers like Timothy, and that the Holy Spirit would illuminate what we read daily in the Bible. Make our love grow for fellow believers, and may Jesus find us among those who are blameless and holy when He comes.
