Turning Things Around

DAY 5 OF 5

One of the worst sins of all is apostasy, which is to publicly and vehemently deny the faith. It doesn’t get much worse than that. When you look at all the things that God has done for us in our salvation, in our provision, in our protection—to deny our association with Him or to marginalize Him is the ultimate insult of all, and yet, God loves us so much, He is even willing to forgive that. Then whatever else you’ve done, He is looking forward to forgiving you. There’s only one thing God can’t forgive and that is the final rejection of Jesus Christ.

So, if you have not made a final rejection of Him and you need to be forgiven of something in your life, no matter how hideous it may seem to you, He stands ready to join you like He joined Peter on the Sea of Galilee. He cooked him some breakfast and He restored him not only to life but also to ministry. Jesus is willing to do what some Christians are not willing to do: to restore. To give a second chance.

Come home to a place where the Father has His arms open, where He is ready to welcome you, ready to embrace you and ready to accept you, because you have come back to Him. I don’t care how bad it is, I don’t care how low you have sunk. I don’t care how deep the hole is. God knows how to reach down, lift you up, pull you out, clean you off and then on top of all that, use you.

About this Plan

Turning Things Around

When it comes to life, no one likes to lose. Circumstances conspire against us. Our actions drag us down. A few good shots to the chin, and before you know it, it can feel like life just knocked us out. But listen to the wisdom of Tony Evans as he reminds us that in our darkest hour, we have a Savior in our corner equipping us to turn things around.
