Coping With Dwindling Finances

DAY 4 OF 7

If you didn’t have any worries, how would that change your outlook on life? Can you imagine actually leaving all your worries with God? What would you do with all of your freed-up time? Think for a moment about your relationship with God. When in the past have you been able to leave your worries with him? What evidence do you have that God truly cares for you?

PRAY: Help me trade my anxiety for your peace—and even your joy.

If you feel as if you’re facing these challenges alone, pay attention to the powerful words from Peter today:

READ: 1 Peter 5:7

REFLECT: What are you worrying about right now? What is the best case scenario solution that you have come up with to deal with that worry? What do you think God wants to do in your current situation?

RESPOND: In her song, “God I Look to You,” Francesca Battistelli sings: “God, I look to you, I won’t be overwhelmed, give me vision to see things like you do. God I look to you, you’re where my help comes from, give me wisdom, you know just what to do.” How do you respond to these lyrics?

About this Plan

Coping With Dwindling Finances

When it seems like your finances are out of control—when it feels like there’s no way to find a sense of peace—you can turn to the solace of Scripture. Even when it seems to us like God doesn’t see our burdens—we discover that he feels our heartaches. He intimately understands our anxieties and worries. And he wants us to bring those worries to him.
