Worship Happens
How can you know what you really value and, ultimately, worship? Trace the path of your time, energy, money, and activity. What you worship could be as subtle or seemingly harmless as shopping, fishing, sports, or even a fixation on yourself. Who or what you worship shapes your behavior. Therefore, your behavior reveals the object of your worship.
You aren’t stingy about your worship. It gushes out. You give all your passion in esteem or pursuit of it. You give lavishly and generously to the object of your affections. You will buy the clothes, spend the time, and drive the miles to do or see what you value or worship.
Worship flows seamlessly and shamelessly out of who you are. You may not realize it, but you are really good at worshipping! You don’t have to work at it too much—it just happens.
Whatever you do, do it with a passion for the Lord. The Scriptures tell us that whatever endeavor we pursue, it should be with all our hearts as if to the Lord. If your affection in that activity is directed to Jesus, then what you do is worship of Him.
The Lord Jesus, who sits on your heart’s throne, is the One whom you should esteem. No other person or thing should come before Him. Attitude in our actions is what makes worship. Direct your affections to Jesus, the Savior and Lord of your life. In essence, everything you do should be as if you are doing it unto the Lord.
Take it from here
Are you bowing your heart to someone or something other than Jesus? Will you make Jesus the supreme object of your affection and adoration?
Pray with me
Heavenly Father, You are the most important Person in my life. You created me and redeemed me, and for that I am eternally grateful. I now realize that I’ve worshipped other things besides You. Please, forgive me. I reaffirm that you are the Lord of my life and the only One I adore. I trust your Holy Spirit to teach me and equip me to be a better worshipper of You.

About this Plan
Worship pioneer, LaMar Boschman, takes us on a journey to discover what it really means to worship. We will learn that being a worshipper is a condition God put in man. Worship is not only about Christians. God created all humans to be worshippers. It comes naturally, and it’s a part of who we are. We were wired by the Creator to be worshippers.
