Staying In His Presence
Psalm: 139:7 (TPT)
Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
Have you ever wondered that anywhere you go, you cannot escape from the presence of God because He is omnipresent?
Omnipresent means being everywhere at the same time.
Many times, I have felt like being immersed or drowning in the presence of our Precious Holy Spirit.
Being in the presence of the Lord is the safest place to ever be.
But as we have our own struggles and war with the flesh and sometimes like the serpent that misguided Eve, we also drift away in these worldly things and the desires of the flesh.
But the most interesting thing the psalmist continues in Psalm 139 is that “If I go up to the heavens, you are there, if I make my bed in the depths, you are there” and so on. He means to say that anywhere I go, I cannot be far away from you God because You hem me in – behind and before.
There have been several times in my life that I have wandered away from His presence, and that is what the enemy wants to do. It’s his strategy to isolate us from Him. But I am forever thankful to Jesus because He is a God who comes seeking after the lost sheep, leaving the ninety-nine.
Jesus loves us so much even before we sing Mein Tujhse Pyaar Karta Hoon (I’m in love with you)
It is important to realize that apart from His presence, we are lost. However, when we repent and return to Him, He accepts us as a loving father the way we are.
Phir Ek Baar
Mein Lautha Hoon
Mein Daudtha Hoon
Tere Paas
Psalm of Selvam – Pyaar Karta Hoon.
Which means, once again I come to you, I run to you.
Somebody said rightly that Christian life is a life of coming and running to Jesus again and again.
Quickly repenting and returning to the presence of Jesus is a key of Christian life.
A lifestyle of worship is the life of realizing and knowing that His presence is all that we want.
So, let me encourage you today that if you feel distant from God, come close to God and He will come close to you. It is not too late. You have the opportunity now to ask for His presence, and He will fill you right away.
Thank you, Jesus, for Your presence.
