Brave to forgive
When you think of the characteristics of bravery, you might think of strength, perseverance, and resilience. Forgiveness probably isn’t something that comes to mind. Forgiving someone isn’t commonly considered an act of bravery. But maybe it should be.
Forgiveness is often difficult. It requires me to be strong in the Lord, to persevere in obedience, and to be resilient in extending grace. Just as the Lord forgave me, I’m called to do the brave thing and forgive others.
I love how Mary Southerland said it: “If our greatest need had been information, God would have sent an educator. If our greatest need had been technology, God would have sent a scientist. But because our greatest need was and is forgiveness, God sent a Savior.”
Be brave and forgive. Forgive and be freed.
I praise You, God, for the forgiveness You show to me each and every day. Thank You, Father, for humbling me so I can forgive. God, thank You for breaking the bondage of offense and unforgiveness in my heart. Remind me of Your forgiveness and grace, and give me the strength to extend that same forgiveness and grace to others. You make me brave in this way. Amen.

About this Plan
There isn’t a woman on this earth who doesn’t struggle with fear, doubt, and uncertainty. Yet, through His Word, God lovingly reminds us over and over again not to live our lives in fear. Instead, He commands us to be strong and courageous…maybe even fearless. Why? Because He is with us. Joshua 1:9
