Day 10 - Be the lender and not a borrow
Often we believe God for certain areas in our lives, but fail to believe God for the possibility to live debt free. But I challenge you to change your
mindset, start thinking new and believe you will obtain God’s goodness as it relates to your debt.
Previously I questioned whether I would be able to live a debt free lifestyle. I always had credit cards and wholeheartedly believed since I made my
monthly payments, I was okay. However, God began to challenge me to be credit card debt free.
This was new to me, I had always depended on my credit cards. I felt if I ever had an emergency, I would have my many credit cards to fall back on. But God
was inspiring me to do something brand new – He said trust Him with all my heart and lean not to my understanding, refer to Proverbs 3:5-6. So I did.
Reluctantly at first, I began to wean myself off my credit cards and more importantly I decided to pay each and every card off.
How I did it
I first had my “come to Jesus moment” and wrote every credit card debt and small loan balance on the Debt Reduction Template I created. From there, I
divided each balance by twelve (12) to determine the amount I would need to pay monthly in order to bring the balances to zero.
Next, I had to get creative. I thought of clever ways where I would be able to earn money. This included money earned from self-employment, hobbies, and
other sources of income. For each month, I created expected additional streams of income that I fully committed to reduce my debt.
Keep going
In addition, I kept my plan with me during the entire process. This served as a reminder to help me stay on course. Therefore when I was tempted to
purchase a “want,” I was reminded that a few months ahead I would have a zero credit card balance. Now, I believe it is possible to be totally debt free!

About this Plan
21 Days of Victorious Living is designed to provide daily devotions to walk in victory. In God's Word, He says we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). Not in some areas of our lives, but in all areas. It is His will that our souls (salvation), wealth (finances) and affairs (relationships) align with God. It is in this place, we will obtain victory after victory!
