40 Reasons for Thanksgiving 

REASON #7: For the Gift of Peace

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7 ESV)

Peace is a gift, but will I accept this gift from God? Peace is also a “fruit of the Spirit.” But will I allow His Spirit to speak peace into my heart and mind? If I will, then I will experience a peace that surpasses all understanding. If I will not trust Jesus with what I am struggling with even though He has told me that He will take my burden, am I also one who does not return to thank Him?
