9 Keys to Walking in ChristНамуна
Key 3 - Walking By Faith.
To walk is a biblical metaphor that means to live. How you live for Christ as well as how and where you choose to keep your eyes and mind focused while you walk truly matters!
Throughout life, you will walk through a variety of seasons. Some seasons may be hard times of trials while others will be filled with times of peace and rest. All of these seasons are meant for your growth, good, and God’s Glory.
When you face the circumstances of life, if you’ve focused on and filled your life and mind with temporal things then you will most likely respond based only on what you see. Conversely, the more you pursue Jesus, abide in God’s Word, and rely on the work of The Holy Spirit in your life, the easier it will become for you to walk by faith and not by sight. Why? Because your eyes and mind will no longer be fixed on temporal circumstances but are shifted to the eternal through Jesus, His Holy Spirit and the eternal Word of God!
You need to pursue Jesus as He and The Word of God are the foundation of your life and walk. No matter what you experience or are currently going through, you cannot focus only on what you see, rather, to walk by faith is to walk regardless of what you see while you trust God for the outcome.
To walk and live by faith is another vital key to walking in Christ day-by-day. To walk by faith requires you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and not the crashing waves that seem to be appearing around you. So, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and keep walking by faith with Him.
Questions to get started with: Am I really living and walking out my faith? Do I live by faith more than I live by sight? Do I rely on and seek The Lord when the circumstances of life come my way? Do I focus on Jesus, His Holy Spirit, and God’s Word? What do the scriptures I just read teach me about walking in faith? What do I need to change in order to more effectively walk and live by faith and not by sight?
