WHO HE IS
Who is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He was part of the creation of the Earth and He lives inside of us when we receive the gift of Salvation. His purpose is to help, guide, convict, strengthen, give us knowledge, understanding and power, and transform us. He knows everything and does the Will of the Father. Since you’ve given your life to Jesus, do you find it hard to do the things you’ve once done? Does cursing sound different than what it used to? Do you feel bad when you are mean to someone? Do you get uncomfortable watching shows that you used to think were okay? That’s the work of the Holy Spirit! You are now the home of the Holy Spirit so whenever you do something that is against His character and Will, He will do what’s called, convict you. Conviction is the gentle discomfort you will feel when you do something wrong or a nudging when He wants you to do something. It is to lead you to know what is right and wrong. Maybe since giving your life to Jesus, you’ve read the Bible and got excited because you understood it! That’s also the Holy Spirit, giving you knowledge and understanding of the Word! The Holy Spirit is our helper to live the life God has for us!
Practical Step:
Ask God to make you sensitive to the Holy Spirit and then listen to that feeling you get!
