Have you ever known what God wanted you to do in life, but were afraid you were incapable of completing His calling? You are not alone in your fear. A lie many of us believe is that we cannot know or cannot do what God wants for us in this life. We can combat this lie with Scripture.

2nd Corinthians 3:4-5 says we have confidence before God through Christ. God gives us everything we need to complete His plans for us. This confidence is not received by our own accomplishments, but every competency we have comes through Christ.

Take a moment to think about something you feel like God wants you to accomplish for Him that you might have been afraid to do in the past. Knowing that God will provide you with all you need to complete His task, what is a step you feel you need to take to walk in obedience?

Father God, thank You for the truth of Your Word. I pray that in times of weakness or doubt, I will call to You. Thank You for Your empowerment and enablement in my life through Christ. Help me to rely on Him in everything I do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
