Love God Greatly: 1 & 2 Thessalonians

DAY 5 OF 44

Read: 1 Thessalonians 1:4-10

SOAP: 1 Thessalonians 1:4-5

Paul explains how the believers in Thessalonica joyfully received the message of the Gospel during a season of affliction. Paul had powerfully communicated the Good News, and the conviction of the Holy Spirit had invaded the people’s hearts and forever changed their lives. Today, we are also called to open our hearts to this transforming Truth: we are beloved by God and chosen to surrender all to the Savior.

How will you share Christ with others through your life this week? Is the Word of the Lord actively “sounding forth” from your lips? Have you purposed to turn from a life of selfish idolatry to fully serve the true living God? We are called to receive the Word, respond to its message and then actively relate the hope of salvation in Christ to anyone who will listen. When we fully yield our lives to Christ, the Holy Spirit invades our lives, and His Word overflows from our hearts to impact the world.

Father, thank You for choosing me as Your beloved and empowering me to share the Good News in the power of the Holy Spirit. Help me to have courage to open my mouth and joyfully tell others that Christ alone delivers us from destruction and resurrects hope in our hearts. Amen

About this Plan

Love God Greatly: 1 & 2 Thessalonians

In the books of 1st & 2nd Thessalonians, you meet a church who are going through some storms.
