My Promise: I will make God's work my work

The enemy didn’t use big events to sidetrack you. Instead he bumped you off target over time. Little by little, you lost focus. Big things became small. Small things became big. It used to be different. There was a moment or a season where you put God first. You gave your heart to God and your energy to his plan. But then came… life. Hobbies became habits, and habits became escapes. Kids’ activities started to dominate your schedule. The promotion sure helped, but longer hours and business trips stole away your margin. With each passing day you thought less about God’s work and more about yours. The kingdom was for tomorrow, so the tyranny of today trumped eternity. You didn’t forget God, but you didn’t remember him either. You can relate to the people of Haggai’s day. It’s time to remember. It’s time to repent and do an about-face. It’s time to return to your first love.

Unshakable Hope Declaration

We are building our lives on the promises of God. Because his Word is unbreakable, our hope is unshakable. We do not stand on the problems of life or the pain in life. We stand on the great and precious promises of God.
