Week 4: It All Ends All Right: God's Promise Through Esther

God's Promise: "In all things God works for the good of those who love him." (Romans 8:28 NIV)

My Promise: I will do what is right and trust God for the outcome

Mordecai was certain that the Hebrews would be delivered. He knew God’s Word. He knew God’s plan to redeem the world through the seed of Abraham. Israel would survive because God’s plan depended upon it. Mordecai knew the promise. At question was not God’s plan, but Esther’s role in it. The same is true for us. God’s ultimate victory is certain. His promises are good. There will be decrees and bullies along the way. But God will triumph. The question is not, will he win, but will we suit up for his team? What situation are you facing right now that stirs up fear? Illness? Aging? Debt? Unemployment? Foreclosure? Divorce? Being alone? Weight problem? Depression? Cancer? Death? None of those things feel right. All of them can feel overwhelming. It sure can be difficult to see God working for the good through something so bad. We need to take a tip from Mordecai and Esther. Even when things are dark and difficult, never lose sight that God will ultimately win.

Unshakable Hope Declaration

We are building our lives on the promises of God. Because his Word is unbreakable, our hope is unshakable. We do not stand on the problems of life or the pain in life. We stand on the great and precious promises of God.
