Authentic Christian Leadership Reading Plan

DAY 7 OF 14

Living Above the Level of Mediocrity

If you say that you’re the kind of Christian who wants to embrace excellence, who really wants the whole purpose of God, then you dare not leave out kingdom commitment. That means your motives must be investigated. For example, every time you make plans to acquire a sizable possession - a car, an expensive boat, a house, and such like - you must deal with it before God and ask: Is this his will? Would this honor him… My message is not that you go hungry and give up all nice things. I just say you give up control of them… Those who live - I mean really soar - above the grubby, greedy level of mediocrity, have learned how to live from the perspective of another kingdom. They’ve learned to give all they have to the Lord God and to trust him to give back all that they need. - Charles R. Swindoll

Are you living from the perspective of God's kingdom?
