Victory and Blessing

Okay. I had no idea this verse was in the Bible. When I was doing my research, I read the line, “Slap all my enemies in the face!” and I knew I had to add this verse for this week. I think it’s so cool how straightforward the Bible is.

In this Psalm, David is praying to God to rescue him from His enemies and destroy them (by asking God to slap them in the face and knock their teeth out. Haha!). In verse 8, though, he shares a profound truth. He says, “Victory comes from You, O Lord” (Psalm 3:8). David wasn’t just praying to rant. He wasn’t just praying so God could hear how uncomfortable and worried He was. David prayed because He knew that victory was only possible through God.

In verse 8, victory is tied to blessing. When God brings victory to your life, He also brings blessing. It may not look like money, opportunity, or the like, but you will experience a supernatural overflow through the victory God brings. Victory is a blessing, and when you have God on your side, you should be ready to receive it!
