Reading With the People of God - #6 LOVEనమూనా
Memorization Challenge: 1 Corinthians 13:8-10
Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away
Reading Primer: Trusting God’s Deliverance
In today’s readings, the theme of trusting in God’s deliverance stands out. Psalm 22 begins with David's deep lament but transitions into a powerful affirmation of faith. Despite his suffering, David clings to the assurance that God will rescue him and ultimately deliver him from his trials. This psalm encourages us to hold onto faith, even in our darkest moments, trusting that God’s deliverance is sure.
Deuteronomy 26:1-15 emphasizes acknowledging God’s blessings and deliverance as the Israelites bring their first fruits to Him. This act of thanksgiving reflects their recognition of God’s faithfulness in bringing them into the Promised Land, a testament to His deliverance and provision.
In 2 Corinthians 6, Paul discusses enduring hardships while maintaining faith. He reassures us that God’s strength sustains us through trials and affirms that His deliverance is real and dependable.
These passages collectively remind us to trust in God’s promise of deliverance and recognize His faithfulness in past and present challenges.
Prayer of Illumination:
Lord, as we read Your Word, deepen our trust in Your deliverance. Help us see Your faithfulness through our trials and hold onto the assurance that You will rescue and redeem us. Guide us in living with unwavering faith, reflecting Your deliverance. In Jesus' name, Amen.

This is the sixth part of a reading plan through the Bible, following the lectionary pattern of reading in the Psalms, Old Testament, and New Testament each day. In addition, each day this month will feature a memorization challenge for 1 Corinthians 13 (The Love Chapter), and there will be brief devotionals from different people in our Church scattered throughout the plan.
