The Power of Prayer

Most believers don’t take full advantage of the fact that we can come into the throne room of our heavenly Father and ask Him for anything that we need. Isn’t that remarkable? Yet, sadly the power of prayer has been overlooked, and many Christians feel ill equipped to pray. There’s some simple facts that you need to know about the power of prayer that will change your perspective, and help laid the groundwork for this devotional on how to pray. Consider the following:

· The Bible says that the reason that we don’t have is simply because we don’t ask.

· In John 13, Jesus says that if we ask Him anything in his name, He will do it.

· The Bible is full of answered prayers from people like Hezekiah to Elisha to Paul, and dozens of other people who humbly prayed to God, and saw the mighty hand of God, do incredible things. That same power is available to you today.

· God hears every prayer.

With these things in mind, over the next few days you will be equipped to boost the power of your prayer life, and better understand how to pray. We will look at a four-step process called GRACE -

1) Gratitude
2) Reverence
3) Admitting and Confessing your sins
4) Entreating God with our requests.

This four-step process gives you the basic tools that you need to not only come into the presence of God, but to make sure that your prayers are powerful.
