Who Is....Jesus 1

DAY 2 OF 7

Jesus, My Replacement/He took my place of shame/Judgment.

It hit me hard, square in the face of my heart. Not only did Jesus replace me on the cross – I should have been the one hung on the cross for all my sins. I was the guilty one. I duly deserved the punishment and the wrath of God, but Jesus willingly chose to take my place and bear the pain, shame, and suffering for my mistakes and sins, and He didn’t stop there; after His resurrection, he now lives with me and in me through the Holy Spirit (John 14:13-14). So now He also provides a replacement for my thoughts and thinking and decisions (because I can now access via the Holy Spirit the same mindset that Jesus Christ has– 1 Corinthians 2:16, Philippians 2:5). Now I can say boldly, “That it is no longer I who lives, but Jesus lives through me.” Jesus has replaced the old me and created a new me (2 Corin 5:17) and empowered me through the Holy Spirit to walk like him, talk like him, and live out my life as he would have.

In the Talk it Over section, Journal your answers to these questions.
