HOW DO I KNOW GOD LOVES ME?

DAY ONE OF THIRTY ONE

Many people question God’s Love because of a negative connotation with the words “Father” or “God”. Maybe you didn’t have the best experience with a parent figure. Perhaps when “God” comes to mind, you can’t help but think of a Higher Being waiting and ready to punish you for all of your mistakes. This couldn’t be further from the truth.

As soon as sin entered the world through Adam and Eve, God came up with a Plan to reconcile us back to Him and enter back into a right-standing relationship. That Plan was to send His only Son to earth in human form so that He could be crucified on the Cross for our sins.

God loved you so much that He chose to prove it in this way so that you never have to question His Faithfulness.

I see a trend with God, and that is His ability to set into motion a backup plan to rescue us when we fall short or when unfortunate events occur in our lives. It’s kind of like the re-routing feature in a GPS. The path to get from point A to point B might change, but the final destination stays the same. God will do everything in His Power to have a lasting relationship and prove His Love to you. Keep that in mind as we embark on this journey to Grow with God over the next 30 days.

Prayer: If you’re having a hard time accepting the fact that God loves you, pray that He reveals Himself to you in an undeniable way today. Ask Him to show you how He’s been there for you in the past even when you couldn’t see it. Ask Him to remove any lies the enemy has convinced you to believe about not being worthy of His Love.
