Notice first that it was a spirit that had been crippling her, not just a birth defect. The demonic hold on people's minds and bodies can be very real and challenging, which is why we must take authority in Jesus' Name and break off those demonic strongholds. Not all sickness is from that, but we pray for discernment to see the source of the illness so we can bring the healing needed. You’ll also notice that Jesus didn’t move toward her but called her to Himself, which was to call her into a step of faith and take action on that faith. Jesus then declares her freedom and lays Hands on her, and she receives healing!

Lord, give me discernment to see any demonic activity oppressing myself or those in my world. I will bring freedom to people crippled by demonic activity, in the Name of Jesus.
