Let the Little Children Come

Recently the young daughter of some Muslim friends was not feeling well. Her grandmother took her on her lap and stroked her hair to comfort her while asking what she needed.

“Are you thirsty? Do you want some yogurt? Do you need a nap?”

“No,” she answered in her small voice. “Please read the Quran over me.”

At four years old, this little girl was already turning to the Quran for comfort. Jesus says that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to children like her, but she is already being led away along a trail of lies.

Having large families is often encouraged in Islam, so all around the world, there are many, many children being raised in this deceiving and false religion. From the moment of birth, the words of the Quran are whispered into their ears, and they are taught to accept Islam's teachings blindly. This grieves Jesus. He longs for the children to come to Him, but they are being held back by deceit and false teachings.

Prayer

Lord, please protect the hearts of children from hearing and accepting the lies of Islam. Comfort and guide them as they learn to navigate the troubles of this life. Holy Spirit, please bring them up with a sense of discontentment so that when they hear about Jesus, the veil of lies will fall away quickly because of their love for Him. Please break down the hindrances that are stopping these little children from coming to you.
