Words Are Golden

DAY 4 OF 5

Intentional

To be intentional is to do something on and with purpose.

The Lord was so intentional when He made you because He made you with great purpose. God is so intentional in many ways. He was intentional with how He created the universe, He is intentional in choosing when certain things happen, and He is intentional in giving us His God-given gifts. Truly everything He does is done with beautiful intent and purpose. He does that so that we can taste and see how good He is and how much He really does love us. He is intentional in His love for us, showing it to us in ways that each of us individually needs. He chooses to speak to us in specific ways knowing that the purpose in it gives us hope and deeper faith in Him. He withholds things from us out of love and with intent. He gives us beautiful things that we don’t deserve out of love and with intent.

Not only is the Lord so intentional to us but we are to also be intentional with others. When we choose to do things for others that we know will make them feel loved, they get a taste of the love of the Lord. I think of the love I personally feel when someone writes me a card or a letter. I feel deeply loved because a way I receive love is through words of affirmation. So, when someone knows that about me and intentionally does it to show me they love me, it is so sweet. What is beautiful about the Lord is that He already knows the different ways in which we feel loved. He specifically made that part about us. His intentionality is so kind. He deserves all of the praise and glory for how intentional He is with us.

Pray: Lord thank you for being so intentional with me and knowing me so well. Help me to be intentional with others as you are with me. Today I choose to praise you for your intentionality.

Day 3Day 5

About this Plan

Words Are Golden

This 5-day reading plan will explore different words, their meanings, what the Lord says about them, and how you can go and speak them over yourself and others. Knowing what a word means gives us a deeper understanding of how it is used in the Bible and how we can implement what the Bible says about it in our lives. God's word and your words are golden!
