The story of Samson starts back in Judges 13. It is a story of physical strength and a clever mind, but also a weakness for women. In this event, Samson’s weakness costs him dearly. Even in Samson’s downfall, God’s plan is fulfilled.

Unlike some other leaders God chooses, Samson seems ideally suited. However, due to his character flaws, his victories come at great personal pain. One cannot help but wonder what he could have accomplished had he controlled his lust.
