The Royal Class

DAY 2 OF 4

Being spiritually royal is a marathon, not a sprint.

Take the story of King David. It begins in 1 Samuel 16, when David was anointed. He (like some of us) was not the ideal candidate, but he would become a man and king after God’s own heart.

“But the Lord said to Samuel, ‘Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.’”         1 Samuel 16:10-12 NIV

On your pathway to your throne, consider this: you will at times experience failure, but failure is not a wall. It is a gateway to the next level. Failure is life’s best teacher, so don’t stay married to your present, don’t allow yourself to be a prisoner of your past—you have the opportunity to become the architect of your future.

You are not just descended from kings and queens— you are royalty. Your life is your kingdom, and your kingdom is inhabited by your dreams. The enemy to your kingdom is any distraction that threatens to deter you from accomplishing your dreams. One of the biggest threats to our personal success is fear. We become ruled by our fear instead of being rulers over our fear.

Affirmation:

I am better today, than I was yesterday.

I will be better tomorrow, than I was today.
