Lord of mercy, make me merciful. Let me, like You, prefer to serve the hopeless and downtrodden. Let me bless the homeless, depressed, mentally ill, sin-controlled, hopeless, grieving, and helpless.  

Fill my thoughts with ways to demonstrate Your love, to show forth Your kindness, and to serve rather than being served. May many people be drawn to You and glorify Your Name as a result.

Goodness 

Dear Heavenly Father, I am totally indebted to You for Your goodness, kindness, mercy, compassion, and gentleness. I am unworthy of these blessings and always will be. My only virtue is that You have loved me. I cannot understand that fact, but I will always be grateful for it.  

Show me how to imitate You as a doting child imitates a beloved parent. Teach me how to follow Your example in demonstrating Your character. Conform me to the image of Christ. Transform my heart to be fit for eternity with You. Let me bless others as You have blessed me, regardless of the worthiness of the people I love and serve. Because I am limited, show me whom You would have me focus on in showing Your love. Let me not miss any of the good works You have prepared for me to do.
