Autumn- Written by Marleen Blondeel

Day 22

When we think of the autumn season of life, we often think of those who have passed the midpoint of their life on earth. The truth is, we all have autumn seasons throughout our lives. Maybe you are in the autumn of attending college, or of your twenties ready to make that big leap to the next decade. Maybe you are in the autumn of a job, a course, or raising your kids. All of us have had autumn experiences whatever phase of life we are in.

In the Greek we have two words to represent time:

Chronos: chronological time, a specific moment in time, quantitative.

Kairos: a proper or opportune time for action, permanent nature, qualitative.

We need to look at time through the divine lens of God. The Kairos time.

That means there is a divine purpose and timing behind all our seasons. When we look from the Kairos point of view of God, and the way He is moving, directing, and bringing all things together, we understand that no season is outside of His control. (Romans 8:28 AMP) (Colossians 1:17 AMP)

Sometimes life is like walking through a corn maze, it makes no sense to us and we wonder why some plants were put in a specific place; we think we would have done things differently.t If we could look from a drone point of view upon this maze of life, it would all make sense and we would see how the setup of the maze leads us to the center, the ultimate plan, and the destiny. Not surprisingly, the author of the book of Ecclesiastes uses 7 pairs of opposites in chapter 3. Seven is the number of perfection, and the opposites imply everything in between.

We can not stay in verses 1-9, rather, we have to go to verse 11 (Ecclesiastes 3:11 AMP), because only with God life makes sense.

Do we really believe that God is actively involved in the universe and your life?
