Jesus You Aloneనమూనా
In John 15, Jesus shares that He is the vine, and we are the branches; we can do nothing apart from Him. While this truth is vital to our relationship with Him, Jesus takes it one step further in verse 11 with this thought: “I have told you this so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete.” (John 15:11 NIV)
You see, joy doesn’t describe just a feeling - but a truth: Connection to God results in joyful relationship with Him. Joy surpasses what we feel and becomes a gauge that reveals if we are in connection with God. Joy is not predicated on a circumstance but projected through the life of a believer as he or she meets daily with Him.
Reflect for a moment on where joy lies in your life. Is it only in certain spaces or circumstances? Confess the places in your life where you may not reflect joy. Allow the Holy Spirit to fill that place in your life, and begin to walk in faith knowing that as you give every single part of your life to Him, He will, in turn, give you joy!
As you listen to the song Joy, turn it up, roll the windows down, and celebrate the joy that Jesus brings when you are connected to Him!
