Finding Grace In Ephesians: A 6-Day Bible Studyనమూనా
Hidden in Christ
Every blessing we receive from God is released by the sacrifice of Christ. They are all ours forever.
But it gets even better.
As Ephesians 1:13-14 tells us, the moment you heard the word of truth and you claimed your salvation by faith, you were secured and sealed with the promised Holy Spirit. His mystery now revealed, you are his and always will be.
He has set you apart and hidden you in Christ, safe in the shelter of his wings, protected from the Enemy, who would like to convince you otherwise.
The Holy Spirit also serves as a down payment of even greater blessings that await us in heaven. What is coming is even greater than what we have now. But we do have something now—we have the promise.
Now we are spiritually in a place of victory in Christ in the heavenly places and blessed with every spiritual blessing. Someday we’ll join him there physically. What we were made for will be understood and enjoyed to the full extent of God’s divine purpose. And you better believe we will worship.
His purpose in blessing us is to draw out our hearts in praise to him. These good and perfect gifts are the foundation of who we are and the only measure of our worth that matters.
When we preach the gospel to our own hearts, we are wonderfully reminded that Christ wins every time and in everything. And because we are in him, we do too.
How do our hearts hold the blessings?
They cannot contain them. We receive them, give thanks, and bless his holy name. It’s the very name he has beautifully written on our hearts.
As we learn in Ephesians 1: 4, God says our names in Christ are:
Chosen.
Loved.
Free.
Blameless.
